Dog Leg Preacher is now offering for sale pre production orders for their film "Hang me the Sturgis Road trip" copies are currently going for $10. However we expect a price increase on April 30th. All pre order copies will ship in May of 2009. Dog Leg Preacher is planning to premier the film in late April or early May in the Seattle area. Dog Leg Preacher set to rock Stewarts in Snohomish

This Saturday night February 28th Dog Leg Preacher will be performing at Stewarts Place in Old Town Snohomish (709 1st street snohomish wa 98290) They will be joined by singer songwriter extraordinaire Randy Hull. DLP is always looking forward to playing snohomish, with so many freinds and family there it is always a good time for everyone. The show kicks off around 9:00. If you want a seat you had better get there early.
We know it has been a couple of weeks since our last update. Things have been extremely busy in the Dog Leg Preacher camp. Production on the Sturgis road trip movie is almost complete, and the time has come to begin planning a date and time to premier this film. DLP has also been working diligently on completing the new full length CD. They are expecting a release date in July. In addition that and many live shows DLP has also been working on multiple contract negotiations for shows coming up through the summer months. Details to follow soon.

Dog Leg Preacher and Randy Hansen the worlds greatest Jimi Hendrix tribute.

Once again Dog Leg Preacher is deeply honored to be opening the Randy Hansen show at the Cedarwood Dome in Tacoma Wa. The show will be kicking off at 9:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the door. For those who haven't seen Randy's show all we can say is you better get out and see one. Randy is definitely a world class performer. In the words of Vogard Kane, "Randy is one of the nicest people you will ever meet in this business". The Cedarwood Dome definitely gets our vote as one of the coolest venues to play in the entire Pacific Northwest. Great food, great service, an incredible stage and ample seating makes the Cedarwood one of Dog Leg Preachers favorite venues. Not to mention the fact that there are several areas here that actually allow indoor smoking. So you don't have to go out and smoke in the cold and rain. It is nice to know that there are still a few places in Washington where people can congregate in "Freedom" without undue governmental harassment. You had better get there early for this one. Its going to be a night of no holds barred high energy rock and roll!!!!

Dog Leg Preacher at the Central Saloon in Seattle

Friday night January 30th 2009 Dog Leg Preacher: That is when you can catch Dog Leg Preacher in the act. No one is quite sure what the crime is, but everyone has so much fun you can bet it is probably illegal. This show at the Central will kick off around 8:30. There will be four other bands on the bill including; Echo Raynes, Mischievous Conduct and ML3. The Central in Pioneer square is one of Seattles oldest and finest drinking establishments, and has hosted most of the great Seattle rock bands through the years. If we need to tell you were the Central is you probably live in a cave, and cant make the show anyhow. This is going to be a night you wont want to miss.

Sturgis Road trip movie

DLP has just viewed the fourth edit of their Sturgis Road trip movie. This film rocks, as is currently stands the movie is a little over 1 hour. That is a lot of work considering there was over 40 hours of raw footage to sort through. Dog Leg will be entering the Tank studio this weekend to cut some final sync tracks for the film, as well as starting a new CD. The title of the film will be "Hang Me, the Sturgis Road trip" the film crew has done an incredible job of capturing the spirit of the event. We were unsure of the complete storyline during filming, but it has proved to be quite provocative. Its basically the struggles of an independent band making it cross country on their own to play a rock show in a little town called Sturgis South Dakota, during the biggest Motorcycle rally and full tilt party in the world. DLP is expecting to premier the film in late April or early May of 2009. Invitations should begin rolling out sometime in February. Its going to be another wild ride, and we welcome all of you to join us in the next chapter!!!!

New Years eve, Uncle Sam's, and Alex Macomber

Time to kiss another year goodbye! Dog Leg Preacher will be welcoming 2009 at Uncle Sam"s American bar and grill in Spanaway Washington (16003 Pacific ave Spanaway WA 98387).The show will kick off around 9:30. This is a small club, with a very intimate setting. However, They are currently building a 30, 000 seat Amphitheater behind the Club, and are expecting to be hosting some major shows late this summer. Dog Leg will be looking forward to seeing many of their south sound friends out there this Wednesday night.
Last Saturday Dog Leg performed at a benefit for 17 year old rocker Alex Macomber. Alex is currently in ICU at The University hospital. He is undergoing treatment for a very rare type of blood cancer. DLP is proud to be a part of helping Alex. The show was a success with a very good turnout considering the weather. We would like to thank Chrissy for having us out, and putting on such a wonderful event, as well as the other bands, Silver, Mechanism, Shades of Sanity, and Ronnie Munroe of Metal Church. Also a big thanks goes out to KISW 99.9 FM of Seattle Washington for sponsoring this event. You guys rock. Currently there are plans in the works for several other benefit shows for Alex. Dog Leg Preacher, Metal Church, and the Bear

Friday and Saturday December 26th and 27th Dog Leg Preacher will be performing at the Royal Bear in Algona Wa (35731 west valley highway Algona WA 98001) Friday night DLP will be the sole performer for an evening of high powered original Rock and Roll. There has been a slight change in the Saturday night schedule, DLP will be kicking off that evenings entertainment, other featured performers include: Metal Church, Mechanism, Shades of Sanity, and Silver. This event will be a benefit fund raiser put on by KISW and the Pink Pillow foundation. Proceeds will be going to teenage rocker Alex Macomber, who is suffering from a rare form of blood cancer. Fridays show is $7 at the door, or $10 for Saturdays show. DLP will take the stage around 7:00 P.M. on Saturday. There will be a very early crowd for this one. so get there early if you would like a seat!!!

What can we say, Wow what a show. Thanks to everyone who braved the inclement weather to come out and see this one. The Bear was crazy that night. The sound and light production was first rate. Big kudos to Ron Wagner of Pro Lighting and sound. Thanks to Vic and Nina Wright of The Wright Image(www.w-image.net) and Karen Knapp for the Excellent photography. There are just not enough shows like this happening out there anymore. Dog Leg Preacher would like to express their deepest heartfelt Honor, and Pride for being involved in this one. Randy Hansen as always is a first rate performer, and a legitimate gentleman. DLP will be looking forward to doing more shows with Randy very soon. The Funhouse in Seattle hosting Dog Leg Preacher

Sunday November 30th Dog Leg Preacher will be performing at the Funhouse in Seattle. The Funhouse is located at 206 5th AVE N. Right across the street from The Space Needle. DLP will be joined by their good friends "Call Me Crazy". This will be the first time that these two acts have shared a stage. Once again we are anticipating a large crowd so you should get there early if you would like a seat!!!!

Hayley's Bar and Grill

The show at Hayley's bar and grill was fantastic. Definitely a great venue to perform in. The staff there is both cordial and professional. A big thanks to Hayley or the hospitality, and to the house technician Joe for his assistance with the house system. Two fun filled nights in a row. Ml3 is a great band. April's vocals were right on the money. Cavernous groove also put on a incredible performance Saturday night. Those guys sing together extremely well. Also a big thanks to Be My Grave for putting on a first rate show both nights, those guys really pack a lot of energy into their sets. We definitely want to give a big thank you to all the great people who came out to see these shows. Without your support these shows couldn't happen. High Powered rock show coming to Hayley's bar and grill in Everett.

This weekend November 21st and 22nd 2008, Dog Leg Preacher will be bringing their high powered rock show to Hayley's bar and grill in Everett Washington. Special guest's include; ML3, Be My Grave, and Cavernous Groove. AS always there will be a large group of Pacific Northwest Musicians,and Promoters there. Definitely a great place to do some networking. The cover charge is $6 at the door,, but if you get in town early the street team will be there handing out discounted admission bill and other freebies. This will be a weekend to remember!!!

Dog Leg Preacher performs to standing room only crowd in Snohomish Washington

Stewarts place in Old Town Snohomish was packed last Friday night. Definitely a great time. Dog Leg Preacher would like to thank all of the great musicians(from as far away as San Diego, Denver, and Miami) who showed up to see the show. The Sturgis Movie, and Hayley's bar and grill

We are now 1 day away from the Dog Leg Preacher show at Stewarts in Snohomish. From all we have been hearing we are expecting a big crowd, so you better get there early if you would like a seat.
Talking to our film crew, they are on the third cut of the Sturgis movie. We are expecting a preview very soon, and hoping for a public performance in the next several months.
We also would like to remind everyone that Dog Leg Preacher will be performing at Hayley's bar and grill (1712 Hewitt ave Everett Wa 98201) on Friday November 21st and Saturday the 22nd, so mark your calendar. Hayley's was formerly Jimmy Z's. We will have several guests opening these shows; ML3, Be My Grave, and Cavernous Groove. We are also expecting some large crowds here, so we would recommend an early arrival. Hayley's is now completely remodeled and has a completely different atmosphere than Jimmy Z's. (It doesn't smell foul in there anymore either). Dog Leg Preacher has lots of new songs they will be performing at all of these shows so come and check it out.

This week in Snohomish

Dog Leg Preacher will be cranking it up this Friday night for their one night high energy rock show at Stewarts Place. Freshly remodeled Stewarts is located at 207 1st Street, in old town Snohomish 98290. This show will be somewhat of a homecoming event, as several of the band members live nearby. Special celebrity quest, songwriter Randy Hull will be opening up the evenings festivities. We are definitely expecting a large crowd, so get there early if you would like a seat.

Portland was great!!!

The return of Solomon Kane

Solomon (Daniel) Kane will be returning to the stage, just in the nick of time to play Dog Leg Preachers Portland Oregon show. DLP rejoicing at Solomons return, it is hard to believe how much energy he brings to the stage, not to mention rock solid bass playing. Our good friend Fox, the cameraman from the band MidStokke recently posted a short clip of a Dog Leg Preacher performance. This is Marcelo playing Little Wing at the Buffalo Chip on the Kinnison stage, rally week Sturgis South Dakota. DLP was playing in a thunderstorm and a complete downpour. the flashes you see are actually lightning strikes that were happening all around as the band was playing. What a crazy time.

Rocking at Waldo's

The show at Waldo's was a great time. We would like to thank our friends MidStokke for having us out, and congratulate our new friends Down North for putting on a great show. Captain Kurke did an incredible job filling in for Solomon Kane on bass. Solomon is expecting a new prognosis on Monday, so we expect to know then just how long he will be on injured reserve. Dog Leg Preacher prepares conflagration for Waldo's

This coming Friday night October Twenty Fourth. Dog Leg Preacher will again be sharing a stage with Seattle Rock Heroes MidStokke, in a no holds barred rock and roll grudge match that is guaranteed to blister even the most sturdy of lead based paints. This will be a different type of show for Dog Leg, as Front man Joe Kurke will be filling in for Bassist Solomon Kane, who was placed on injured reserve last week after suffering a separated tendon in his left elbow. Solomon is doing quite well in his recovery, and is expected to return in time for the Stewarts show in Snohomish in Mid November. Joe Shikany Memorial

Sunday October 18th Dog Leg Preacher attended a memorial service for Joe Shikany. A incredible guitarist, and rock legend, not to mention a good friend. although we have not heard an official head count the crowd definitely numbered in the thousands. The experience was incredible, so many people sharing their personal stories, performing songs, sharing memories. I am sure that Joe is proud of the way people came together for this event. Friends like this is part of what makes the Seattle music scene such a special place to call home. WE WILL MISS YOU JOE.

Solomon Kane undergoes emergency surgery

Dog Leg Preacher bassist Solomon (Dan) Kane just underwent emergency surgery on his left elbow. Solomon was standing on a chair to straighten a picture (just like Jesse James) when the chair collapsed. That is how he sustained a tendon separation at his left elbow. Dan is now in recovery and feeling alright. He has a cast from his wrist to his shoulder. We are being told that Dan will be out of comission for approximately four weeks. Needless to say this will affect Dog Leg Preachers upcoming show schedule. Front man Captain Joe Kurke will be strapping on the bass guitar again to cover the showcase sets (45 minute gigs) but some of the longer shows will be rescheduled. There will be more updates on this site soon. The band is planning on being ready to go again in time for the Stewarts show in Snohomish on November 14th. We will all be wishing Dan a speedy recovery.

Dog Leg Preacher plays benefit for Tulalip boys and girls club

Dog leg Preacher put on one great show at the Tulalip boys and girls club last weekend. What a wonderful facility. It was great to see all the smiles on all the faces, and to work with such genuine and gracious people. For those who can go out and check this place out I highly recommend it. The program there is exemplary. The world needs way more places and people like this. It was an honor to be a part of their program, and Dog Leg Preacher will be looking forward to working with them in the future.
